Helmet

Oh my silly little man. I'm in the living room on the computer while Jasper is playing in his room. All of the sudden I hear the mandrake root* screaming bloody murder. I hop up from the chair and go flying into his room expecting to see a limb caught in a toy or some other torturous evil he twisted himself into. What do I see as I round the corner?

Jasper is trying very hard to put his helmet on. It's not working so great for him. So I smile (and maybe I giggled too) and ask if he wants my help. He holds his helmet out to me with a desperate look on his face. I crouch down and snap the helmet into place on his cute little noggin.Instantly he is happy! He hops up, runs over to his toy truck and starts playing. My little boy wanted his helmet on to play with his toy truck. Oh my silly little man. On the plus side; he's learning safety first!
*Mandrake root is a reference to Harry Potter. Those wailing little plants have a lot in common with a screaming Jasper.
