Slap Happy

Warning: Foul language ahead.

Don't you wish you can just bitch slap some people and say, "What the FUCK are you thinking?!" In my head there are a lot of violent scenes playing out. Like little side clips in a movie. Then you snap back into reality and you're like, "Damn...that didn't really happen? Damn."

Happens to me all the time. So when you see me fuzz out of reality, know that I may be having a fantasy about you. And chances are, it's not looking good for you at all.

Butterbeer

I've been having a rough couple of days and I know exactly what would make me feel better.

A cozy chair like this
In a 3 season porch like this

In a house like this
Overlooking property like this
With a big glass of hot buttered rum like this
In a cup like this

Watching weather like this
Reading a book like this

Yep, that would do me worlds of good. Sigh.

Random Dishes

I want a cupboard full of things that make me smile. Why have a set of boring cups and plates that all look the same? I want to have only one of a variety of cool dinnerware. I want people to be excited that their cup is the coolest. Wouldn't you want to drink out of one of these?

Of course I'd like to do this "only one" thing with plates, saucers, bowls, you name it! But today's focus is on cups. This next cup is a doozy that I'm all giddy over. I absolutely want this cup.

The best part? When you put hot liquids in it, the cup changes to white and says, "Mischief managed." It can be found here for about $21.

Oh yes, I am so going to have random awesomeness in my cupboards. Just you wait and see.

D-Bag

Warning: Foul language ahead.

The other day we were laying in bed talking about the future and I told Justin I didn't want to get too happy. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. It dropped.

It's okay, baby. Mommy and Daddy will find an even better house to call home.

We received a letter from our landlord saying we have 30 days to get out. I'm fucking pissed off! This house that has finally started to feel like a home is no longer ours to live in. I was looking forward to living here the next five to six years until we bought our "forever home". I was looking forward to walking on our private beach every day with Jasper. That's not an option anymore.

I know, dude. Mommy feels the same way.

I feel like we were taken advantage of. It is our belief that the landlord knew this would be coming. He insisted on twice monthly inspections with pictures to make sure we weren't ruining anything. There were a few other odd occurrences. We think he had at least a hint of an idea that our tenancy would not last longer than one year. What a jerk.

I feel so stupid. Like we should have known or been more cautious with him. But noooooo. We jumped in, trusted the douche bag, got a big dog and now we are fucking screwed.

So now we are house hunting again. Looking for a rental that will work for us. Wish us luck. We could use some.

Dream House

As I mentioned before Justin is joining the National Guard and eventually we'll be getting a home loan. I'm super excited about that last part! I've been browsing the Lincoln County MLS site getting some ideas of what I want in a home when the time comes. I've fallen in love with one of the houses I found. In love! I'm sure there will be an amazing home out there when the time comes. I'm easily pleased. In the meantime, when I think of our future home, this is the one I'll imagine. Enjoy!!

Freakin' amazing right? A barn, double car garage, A CHICKEN COOP!!, a finished studio attached to the garage. So many fantabulous features!! I'm in love. I hope we can find something this amazing when our time comes.

Army National Guard

For some time now Justin has been interested in different forms of the military. After much consideration on both our parts, he has decided to join the Oregon Army National Guard. I am nervous, excited, scared, happy, proud, worried, etc. A whole slew of emotions. He'll leave for basic training sometime early next year. I'll be a single mom during that time. Yikes! He'll be gone for about seven-eight months. Double yikes! We're trying to get pregnant so I may have a baby while he's away. Triple yikes! Okay this is getting scary now.

I'm not looking forward to this being us.

We've decided that this is what's best for our family. Not only do I get to be a stay-at-home Mom which I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about that!! The biggest seller for me is that we will qualify for a VA home loan. It'll give us many of the things that we've been wanting. This would all be completely out of the question and a home loan is not a good enough reason to do it except that Justin really wants to join and as hard as it is, I support him.

I'm just trying to look at all of the positives.

If I think about the negatives I get really upset and that doesn't help anyone. Another plus? Those uniforms are sexy as hell. Ohhhhh yeah!! So here's to thinking happy thoughts!
